Lola Vie Johnson, age 98, of Attalla, Alabama passed away on Monday November 4, 2019. Visitation for Lola will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Collier Butler Funeral Home with funeral service at 12:30 PM. A burial will be at Duck Springs Cemetery. Rev. Danny Battles and Rev. Lennie Jo Carroll will officiate with Collier Butler Funeral Home Directing.
Mrs. Johnson was a native and longtime resident of Etowah County and retired from Duck Springs Elementary School where she had worked as assistant lunchroom manager and as a bus driver, Lola was of the Baptist faith and was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Elmer Johnson; son Ronnie Mack Johnson; grandson Craig Battles; and her parents and siblings.
She is survived by her daughter Doris (Charlie) Battles; granddaughters Shannon (Michael) Nix, Rachel (Jeff) Holland, and Shelly (Eddie) Nabors; eight great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; four sisters in law; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
