Funeral service will be at 3:00 Tuesday, June 14 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Duncan’s great grandson, Jake Naumcheff, and son-in-law, Rev. Allen Hudson, will officiate.
Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Mrs. Duncan grew up in Dale County, AL moving to Gadsden in the early 1940’s. She worked a short time at Goodyear where she met and married the love of her life, the late W.F. (Dodie) Duncan. She became a stay at home mother for the 59 years of their marriage.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Hokes Bluff for 65 years where she taught Sunday School, was a choir member, and in her later years was a key member of the church prayer line. Mrs. Duncan will be remembered as a “prayer warrior” who loved God, her church, and especially her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her parents, John W. & Nancy Ellen Taylor; brothers, Richard & Harvey Taylor; sisters, Eula Pipkins, Una Mae Cain, Foye Chapman and Effie Edmonds.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by her son, Johnny W. (Sandra) Duncan; daughter, Carol (Allen) Hudson; grandson, Chad (Amy) Hudson; granddaughters, Cassie (Jason) Shields, Terri (Steve) Naumcheff, Cyndi (Maurizio) Villarreal, Toni (Brian) Hess; Holly (Jay) Knowlton; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandson and grandsons-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Hokes Bluff “Building Project Fund”, 5052 Main St., Gadsden, AL 35903.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home Tuesday.
