Leta Henson Johnson

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Leta Henson Johnson, age 56, of Rainbow City, who passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Jason Ellen will officiate. Burial will be at Williams-Southside Memorial Park. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.

Mrs. Johnson was a Vice President at Alabama Teachers Credit Union and worked there for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Henson.

She is survived by her husband, Barrett Johnson; children, Adam (Whitney) Johnson, and Abby (D.J.) Jones; grandson, Max Johnson; parents, Charles and Frances Henson; brother, Winston (Debbie) Henson; sister, Sharron Whittey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Special thanks to Cancer Treatment Center of America, Newnan, GA; Amedisys Hospice; and Kindred Home Health. Special thanks also to Dr. Carpenter, Dr. Warren, Dr. Echeiverri, and the nurses on the 7th floor and the ICU Unit at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Thank you to all of her friends and family for your thoughts and prayers.

Pallbearers will be Ron Summerall, Sonny Peterson, Randy Vice, Robbie Deason, Jess Gregory, and Zack Shewmaker.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cancer Treatment Center of America, Newnan, GA.

The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
