Leona Evelyn Graham

Leona Evelyn “MawMaw” Graham, age 81, of Gadsden, Alabama, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Young’s Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bruce Jenkins will officiate.

Mrs. Graham was a lifelong resident of the Ballplay Community in Etowah County, Alabama.

She was a graduate of Hokes Bluff High School, and served as a member of the Beta Club. Her joy in life was her family, she spoke often of the immense love she had for her son, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She never met a stranger; she was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Graham, parents, Howard and Verla Robertson; and chosen son, Stephen Sanford.

She is survived by her only child, Steve (Kimberly) Graham; grandchildren, Kendall (Daniel) Whitmore, Kyle (Mallory) Graham, Maci Stephens; great grandchildren, Emma Whitmore, Veda Whitmore, and Sheppard Graham; chosen sons, Ricky Mac Lawson, and Earl Morrier; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
