Joseph Thomas Barto Wilson, 55, of Gadsden, lived in the Whorton Bend Community, died on Monday, March 14, 2016. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Forrest Cemetery. Rev. Glen Mize will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Joseph is survived by his spouse, Robert Wayne Oglesby; chosen sister, Dorothy “Sis” Wilson, Gadsden, AL; cousins, Ms. Jane Lull, Greensboro, NC; Mrs. Cathy Sue Cobb, Albertville, AL, Nancy Carol Becker, Birmingham, AL, Susan Tabor and Dorothy Usry, Gadsden, AL
Joseph was born on July 7, 1960. He was the first baby to have been raised on the new formula in Etowah County. He was a graduate of Southside High School, Class of 1978. He was a member of Whorton Bend Baptist Church. Joseph was employed by Morrisons Cafeteria.
Pallbearers will be Michael White, Brian Snell, Dr. William Stewart, Johnny Martin, Dennis Pledger, Jim Baty, Jimmy Jackson, David Usry, and the Whorton Bend Fire Department Volunteers.

The family will accept friends at the funeral home Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
