Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Jerry Steven Thompson, 59, Gadsden, AL who passed away on February 24, 2015. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Jerry was an alumni of Emma Sansom High School, class of 1973, and a longtime employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was an avid lover of music and enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandson, Luke.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Elizabeth Duke Thompson, his father, Jerry Jasper Thompson, his brother, Timothy Thompson, all of Gadsden, and beloved nephew, Cody Thompson of Chattanooga, TN.
He is survived by his three children, Emily (Jon) Roundy, Kristin (Amanda) White, and Matthew (Cortney) Thompson, grandson, Luke Roundy, and brother David (Kim) Thompson of Chattanooga. He will be greatly missed by his family.
The family will accept friends from 2:30-3:30 p.m. prior to the service.
