Betty Carol Roberson

Betty Carol Roberson, age 79, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the home of her son, Ray. Funeral services will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel at 3:00 p.m. February 20, 2014. Pastor Shane Roberson will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ray Roberson Sr.; brother, Gerald Garrett; and grandson, Derrick Bickers.

She was survived by her children: Robbie Roberson, Deborah May and Ray Roberson; grandchildren: Shane Roberson, Lance Roberson, Tobie Bickers, Cindy Roberson, Joshua Roberson, Brett Roberson, Nick Roberson, Andrew Roberson, and Mary Catherine Roberson; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Savannah, Holly, Garrett, Grant, John Grady and Seth; brothers: Bill (Louise) Garrett, Bobby (Phyllis) Garrett and Ricky Garrett; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Roberson was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid bowler and had been inducted into the Alabama Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Betty was known for her vibrant spirit and giving heart.

The family will accept friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
