Audrey W. West

On 14 January 2015, Audrey W. West went home to Heaven. She is now enjoying singing with all the Saints in Heaven. Everyone who knew Audrey will never forget the joy she brought to their lives. Funeral services will be at 12:30p.m. on 17 January 2015 at Collier Butler Chapel. The Rev. Charles Beshears will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services.

Audrey retired from Alabama Power with over 40 years of dedicated service. From her colorful red, black and cream colored clothes to her perfect 'lost art' handwriting and attention to detail, Audrey was a gracious lady. She was always mindful to never hurt anyone's feelings and was always concerned for everyone else's health and well being. Audrey loved Jesus, her family and her friends. Audrey enjoyed many years singing alto in her choir at Bellevue Baptist Church. Her family was very important to Audrey and her nephew and nieces became hers. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years Clyde E. West, sister Dean W. Manning, nephew Paul W. Manning, nieces Dr.Lynne Wright, Jacqueline Hinton, Lisa Garmany, eight great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Lillie Wright. Pallbearers are Wilburn Hunkapillar, Johnny McBurnett, Scott Williamson, Sonny Thackerson, Jimmy Littlejohn, and Matt Manning. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
