Tommy Joe Maddox

Passed away Thursday December 10, 2020

Tom passed peacefully in his home after a long illness. He was born in Fulton on September 8, 1951, the son of Joy and Katheryne V. (Payne) Maddox who preceded him in death. Tom was in the Missouri National Guard during the Vietnam War era; prior to becoming disabled had been a mechanical plumber for almost 20 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and provided much game for his family’s enjoyment throughout his life.

Tom’s siblings Patty Harris, Joyce Krebs and Dennis Maddox preceded him in death.

Tom was married to Cyndi Maddox on December 5, 1981. She survives. Other family members surviving his passing include children Shannon Ellermann (Jacob Kelley), Micah Maddox (Sara), Alison Maddox (Javier Perez Delgado), Emily Maddox, siblings Barbara Maddox and Larry Maddox (Patsy). Grandchildren Jesse Edler (Briana), Trenton Ellermann (Marah), Lukas Ellermann, Jayce Ellermann, Corinne Maddox, Andrew Kelley,, Ava Maddox, Catalina Maddox, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and his best friend Jack the dog.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
