Michael Dale Burton

Michael was born on July 26, 1971 in Des Moines, IA the son of Larry and Patricia (McKee) Burton. He attended Fulton High School. He was united in marriage on November 23, 1995 in LaBelle, MO to Tammy Nichols. Mike was a professional driver by trade but was also very mechanical, skillful and worked well with his hands. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, BBQing, playing the drums and bass and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include: his wife of 28 years, Tammy Burton of the home; one daughter, Mariah Bailey (Daniel) of Fulton, MO; one son, Jacob Burton of Columbia, MO; his mother, Patricia Smith of Kirksville, MO; his father Larry Burton (Brenda) of Bethany, MO; two brothers, Brian Burton (Rhonda) of Edina, MO and Andy Burton of Council Bluffs, MO; one sister, Jennifer Cramer of Council Bluffs, MO; two grandchildren, Dean Bailey and Emelia Bailey, niece, Ashli Linhart (Andrew); nephew, Trevor Burton (Moriah) and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Keith and Mary Jane Burton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Debo Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Haldeman officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO.
