Born in Verdunville, West Virginia and grew up in Kentucky. Married to Juanita Conley in May 1947. Juanita predeceased Monroe November 19,1997 after celebrating 50 years of marriage. Monroe had a long career driving a cement mixer and achieved a milestone safety award for driving over 4 Million miles without an accident. Monroe’s survivors are daughter Lois and Fred Stauffer, son Jim Moore, grandchildren: Kim Stark, Jim and Roseann Moore, Cassandra and Jason Rideout. Great grandchildren: Dylan Miles, Abigail Moore, Delilah Moore and Violet Moore. Monroe’s lifelong hobby was bowling. He traveled many times to bowl in the Senior Olympics and has multiple Olympic metals to prove his prowess. Monroe always loved to hug and tickle his many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He never met a stranger and made many friends throughout his life. Monroe was a very loving, kind and sensitive man who loved his family with his heart.
