Betty Jean Reid

Betty Jean Reid of Fullerton California, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, June 26, 2017 from Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Betty was born on a farm in Kansas to the late Frank and Marjorie Mercer. She was the youngest of three children; brother Bill and sister Margie. Betty attended a country style school house and graduated High School before she studied to become a Registered Nurse. Most of her career she was a respected Surgical Nurse. Betty is survived by her husband of 31 years, Donald L. Reid, daughters Jan (Eddy) Foradory and Deborah (Jeff) Tomes. Step daughter Terry (Jim) Vorell and step son Robert (Kathy) Reid. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, along with many loving relatives and friends. The memorial service is planned for Thursday July 6, 2017, 11:00 am at the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton (North Chapel), 2801 Brea Blvd, Fullerton California, 92835. Reception immediately following in the Fireside room. Flowers are welcome and memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Memorial Foundation, 1440 N. Harbor Blvd, Suite 200, Fullerton, CA 92834.
