Tara Jo Swygman

Tara Jo Swygman, 51, of Ft Collins, CO, passed away in New Hampshire on November 8, 2024. Tara was born in Julesburg on August 18, 1973. She met and married Michael Swygman on October 5, 2002. Tara and Mike are blessed with three daughters: Mackenzie, Rylee and Allyson.

Tara graduated from Revere School district in 1991 and then attended NJC in Sterling. After graduating, she attended UNC in Greeley where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing during a commencement ceremony at CU Health Science Center at Denver. The pinning ceremony was on May 28, 1999. She accepted a position at Children’s Hospital on a Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit. Tara and Mike moved to LaCrescent, Minnesota where she continued her nursing career. They then returned to Ft Collins. Tara continued her nursing career at the UC Health Facility in Ft Collins. She wanted to do more in the nursing profession, so when a position as a traveling nurse became available, she applied. She was stationed in New Hampshire at the Huggins Hospital.

Tara is survived by her husband Mike, children Mackenzie, Rylee and Allyson; parents Marcus and Karen Ness, CO; Sisters, Linnea (Dave) Oller, TX; Sabrina (Jason) Steele, CO; Mother-in-Law Judith Swygman, IA; Brother-in-Law Ryan (Suzette) Swygman, CO; Sister-in-Law Andrea (David )Parrott, CA; along with many nieces and nephews.

Tara was preceded in death by her grandparents Bernard and Evelyn Isenbart, Weldon and Audrey Ness, Marlin Swygman, and Eli Tyrone Ness.
