He was born in Corvallis, Oregon on May 9, 1943 to Alice and William Steely. He worked as a truck driver and truck yard supervisor for 37 years at Lafarge, which is now Martin Marietta. He possessed a deep love for his friends and family and enjoyed boating, scuba diving, and watching car races. He was a gentle, kind hearted man who was held in high regard by all for his unwavering integrity.
He will be deeply missed by his loving bride of 60 years, Lois Steely; his devoted children, Tamara Lindenstein (Joe) and Tyler Steely (Jen); brother Mike Steely and sister Alice Glanz (Chuck); four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother, Donald "Jake" Steely.
A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 11am at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, followed by a lunch reception. His Graveside Service will take place at 2pm and he will be placed to rest at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Cremation entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home.
