MaryKay Lorraine Pixley

MaryKay Pixley, also known as GaGa, 82 years, passed away September, 30, 2023. MK was born April, 29, 1941 in Fremont, NE to L. Hellene Price and Walter Paul Bohler. They moved 4 times before ending up in Fort Collins when MK was 10 years old. She remained in Fort Collins ever since. MaryKay had two children Faith Swain (Jeff), and Wally Pixley. Three grandsons Jacob Swain, Joshua Swain, and Cannon Pixley. Two great grandsons and Special niece Layne. Wally preceded her in death, and she never was the same. Her parents, and sisters preceded her as well.

MaryKay had a wonderful spirit, great sense of humor with an Iconic contagious laugh. She would say the darndest things and loved to see the reactions. She loved deeply with her whole heart! Also had a real gift with children. MK was real, genuine, one in a million, generous, loyal, committed, loving, kind hearted, intelligent, intuitive, creative, fun loving, compassionate, protective, happy, honest, great listener, classy dresser, powerful Prayer Warrior, and Lover of Jesus. MK graduated from FCHS in 1959 and was class chairman, and remained extremely involved by keeping her class connected until the end. MaryKay did so many things in her life, a real entrepreneur. It was important to MK to encourage people, writing complimentary things to employees was a normal thing, and she wrote hundreds. She was always advocating for someone. MK was quite the writer, writes with deep emotion and with real raw truth. Her dream was to write a book, but she never thought she was good enough to write one. You will be missed and are truly luved MaryKay!

A visitation for MaryKay will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Allnutt Funeral Service – Drake Road Chapel, 650 W. Drake Rd., Ft. Collins, Colorado 80526. A Celebration of Life will occur Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 650 W. Drake Rd., Ft. Collins, Colorado 80526, with a reception following the service.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jeff Swain, Jacob Swain, Joshua Swain, Ken Reed, Maura King, and Tiffany Carneski.
