Kay Eileen Williams

Kay had many musical talents. Her hobbies included making crafts, cooking, and interior design. She was known for spoiling her grandchildren at every opportunity. Kay Eileen Williams, 76, of Wheat Ridge, CO, died in Ft. Collins, CO from health complications on January 10, 2024.

She was born in Meadville, PA in 1947 to Ormal and Dorothy Jones. She moved with her family from Cambridge Springs, PA to Northglenn, CO in 1963. Kay graduated from Thornton High School in 1965.

Kay married the late Hans Winter in 1967. Their son Jay Winter followed in 1970. They separated after 18 years of marriage. In 1988 she married Gary Williams who passed away in August of 2023.

Kay is survived by her son Jay Winter and wife Sarah of Loveland, CO as well as their children Thomas and Jackson as well as Gary’s kids. Gary’s kids include Charlene Kiley, April Martinez and her daughter Kayla, Gary Jr. and his wife Felicia as well as their children Marlena (Erik) Spiegeler, Kasandra (Nate) Ewing, Garrett (Carissa) Williams, and Jamison (Julia) Williams and many great grandchildren. Sister Janet M. Roundy (Francis) of Crossville, TN, brother Thomas O. Jones (Brenda) of Guys Mills, PA. She had many nieces and nephews as well.

Kay had a soft spot for furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were. Boots was her last dog, but she also enjoyed sharing stories about rabbits she had over the years with her grandchildren.

Kay will always be remembered for her kind and loving spirit and the way that she always made sure there was delicious homemade food on the dinner table and treats on hand for her grandchildren. We are thankful for the time we had with her and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Kay was preceded in death by her father Ormal, her mother Dorothy, and her husband Gary.

A memorial service is March 1st, 2024 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. If attending please contact Sarah Winter for additional information on arrival times and post service gathering.
