Harry’s life began in Fort Collins, Colorado on November 7th, 1943. He was raised by loving parents, Grady & Esther Honeycutt, who instilled in him the values of hard work, family, and faith. Harry was close with his brothers and sisters growing up and they remained very much so throughout their lives.
Harry had one true love in this life. He and Karen Sue (Lockman) Honeycutt had celebrated 43 wonderful years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2013. Harry and Karen were blessed with three children, Wayne, Sabrina, and Sharis, who they loved more than life itself. Harry was a loving father who cared very deeply for his children. He was a provider and always worked hard to ensure his family had what they needed.
For most of his life, Harry worked as a mechanic and handyman, but those words fall short of all that he did. In his younger years, he worked for the US Forest Service and Arapahoe Basin. He later worked for himself and then with his son-in-law, Steve. He was a strong man who loved being on the ranch. Harry was never idle and remained active all his days. He spent as much time as he could outdoors whether it be riding horses, hunting, or fishing. He loved spending time with his family. A few years after Karen’s passing, Harry moved up to Billings, Montana with his daughter where he loved attending service with Sharis and her family at New Life Church.
Harry Honeycutt was a good man. He was kind and generous. He had a big heart and room for everyone in it. He loved his family above all else and made sure that they knew it. They will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his children Wayne Honeycutt (Katrina), Sabrina Lockman, and Sharis Honeycutt-Glick (Steve); his grandchildren Hillary Ortiz (Danny), Sandra Foisy (Chris), Dylan Jones (Katelin), Robert Mulh (Maddison), Katie Justice (Lucas), Blake Honeycutt, Darby Halbert, Chaz Glick (Jannelle), Dane Glick (Leslie), Mac Glick (Theresa), Anika Emerson (Cory), and Audry Glick; and by 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Harry was greeted at the gates by his dearest wife Karen, his parents, and by his siblings, Gene Honeycutt, Joanne Blei, Evelyn Jones, and Allen Honeycutt.
A Celebration of Harry’s Life will take place on Monday, April 21st, 2025 at 11am at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, after which he will be placed to eternal rest beside his beloved. A chuck wagon reception will follow. Memories of Harry and words of condolence for his family are welcome at resthavencolroado.com.
