Ronald William Clark

Ronald William Clark, age 61, of Front Royal passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Hammond officiating. Mr. Clark was born in Charlottesville on June 25, 1952, a son of Betty Nicholson Clark of Bentonville and the late William Moses Clark. He was a self-employed general contractor and had previously worked for 16 years for Ronald D. Mayhew, Inc. Mr. Clark was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, horseshoes and especially being with his family. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 27 years, Althea Payne Clark; his sons, Robert William Clark and wife Joanna of Culpeper, Matthew Gene Clark of Culpeper and Brandon Allen Clark of Front Royal; his daughter, Amanda Darlene Clark of Front Royal; his sister, Linda Clark Henshaw of Rappidan; his granddaughters, Katherine Clark and Charlotte Clark; and his uncle, Milton Nicholson of Culpeper. In addition to his father, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Gail Clark. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
