Mr. Victor Anthony Donato

Victor A. Donato was born on June 9, 1922, in Fresno, CA. He was the son of Anthony and Josephine Donato. He passed away peacefully at the age of 92, with his family by his side on Saturday, March 14, 2015.

Victor was a loving and wonderful husband, dad and special papa. He served in World War II as an aviation machinist mate for the United States Navy from October 1942, through January 1946. Upon his return, he married the love of his life, Martinella Sette.

He is survived by his adoring wife of 68 years; his six children, Deborah Donato, Gregory Donato and his wife Cathy, Jeanne Donato, Mari Hornbeck and her husband Tom, Vicky Mayfield and her husband Mark, Anthony Donato and his wife Michelle; and his seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan Burns and Blair Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
