My Dad passed this week at 98 years young. I am so grateful and proud to have him for a Father and my inspiration. He is a great human being. I will always listen to what he told me and how he raised me.

My daughter Amber Medina wrote this about him the best:

"These past days have been extremely difficult since you've been gone and we all know it's going to get harder before the grieving gets easier. You have been the Patriarch of the family for so long, you've been the rock to hold the family down, you've been the glue to hold the family together and you've been the faith to keep the family believing. 

As we think back to our memories with you we are reminded by the memories you've shared with us about your experiences in life from your childhood to the war to falling in love with Grandma and the moments with your kids. You always found the humor in things and joked about your hardships. 

We have learned so much from you how to be kind, how to be loving, how to be strong, how to be daring, how to take risks but also be smart, and how to be a fighter but most of all we learned how to keep a sense of humor no matter what situation we are going through. And with that said I know you are looking down on us probably saying 'stop crying, this is where I wanted to be...' 

You've led a wonderful successful life and we promise to continue your legacy, until we meet again at the gates of Heaven. We love you, we miss you and you will always be in our hearts and minds Grandpa. "
