Thomas Brett Meeks

Brett Meeks was born in Kingstree, South Carolina on May 9, 1962 to George and Patricia Meeks. He was the youngest child of three, older siblings Corky and Michelle. The family moved from Georgia to Hacienda Heights, California when Brett was in elementary school. Brett enjoyed the Southern California lifestyle of surfing at the beach and skiing in Big Bear.

Brett met his wife, Lorena, of 32 years through a mutual friend while living in Los Angeles. They married in a small ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. Soon after getting married Brett and Lorena relocated to Fresno, California where Brett started his own drafting company. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, Kennedy in 1996. Their son, Cooper was born 4 years later.

Brett’s parents made the move to Fresno from LA not long before Cooper was born. As a family man, Brett enjoyed having his parents close by. Brett was an avid sports fan, and was especially dedicated to his beloved Raiders team. Life in Fresno consisted of taking the kids to their soccer or baseball games, attending school functions, and hosting get togethers for friends and family.

Brett joined our father in heaven on March 20, 2023. He spent his final years constantly surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Corky and father George. He is survived by his wife Lorena, two children Kennedy and Cooper, mother Patricia, sister Michelle, nieces Niki and Taylor, and a great nephew Robert. The family would like to give special thanks to Guiliano and Nikki Dicicco and their daughters Evangelea and Evenia. Additionally, special thanks to our amigas y familias for all their love and support during this incredibly difficult time. And lastly, special thanks to Dr. Kuanchang Lu for all his compassion and care.
