Rosie Kodama, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend was sent to her eternal home at the age of 63 in the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 26,2025. Rosie was born on June 21, 1961, to Ezekiel Sr. and Margaret Chagolla in Riverside, California where she attended elementary and high school.
Rosie is survived by her beloved husband Clayton Kodama, her beloved mother Margaret Chagolla, her brother Ezekiel Chagolla Jr and his wife Brenda, and her devoted sister Teresa Avina and her husband Richard Sr., her father-in-law Dr. Sam Kodama, Sister-in-law Stacey Kodama, and brother- in -law Dr Kevin Kodama and his wife Joyce Kodama.
Rosie will be dearly missed by her Chagolla and Kodama Nieces and nephews including, Rita and her husband Michael, Rudy and his wife Jessica, Patricia and her husband Joseph, Robert and his wife Maria, Christina, Jacob, Richard Jr, Sarah A. Colin, Sarah Kand Elaine.
Rosie was preceded in death by her father Ezekiel Chapolla Sr., her sister-in-law Delfina chagolla and her mother-in-law Diana Kodama.
She trained in the field of dental assisting and made this her lifelong career. She was a registered dental assistant until her illness and retired in Oct of 2023. Along the way she was introduced to her future husband Clayton by her sister Teresa as they were both in the dental field. Together they spent their time traveling the world and visiting many countries and made several trips to Kauai, Hawaii to visit Clayton's family. Rosie also loved to go on cruises with her family and friends. Her favorite trips were to Las Vegas where she made 3¬4 trips a year to play her favorite video keno machines. Rosie had a passion for cooking and gardening, was also an avid runner who ran 4 miles every morning. She enjoyed entertaining in her beloved home in Fowler, Ca. Rosie was all about Disney, she loved going to all the Disney parks and her home has a flair of many Disney characters. She also enjoyed decorating her home to the "T" during seasonal holidays. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Rosary Service for Rosie will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 9:00 am and followed by a Funeral Mass 9:30 am at St. Jude Catholic Church, located at 208 W. Jefferson Ave, Fresno, CA 93706. Rosie will be laid to rest in Washington Colony Cemetery, 7318 S. Elm Ave, CA 93706.
