Rose Palacios Calderon

Rose was born in Compton, CA on October 30, 1927, the daughter of Juan and Dominga Palacios. Rose was a loving person who will long be remembered for her generous and giving spirit. She loved to comfort others in their time of need.

Rose was awarded the Benemerenti Medal from Pope John Paul II in recognition for her service to the Parish Community of St. Joseph's Church in Firebaugh.

She was a devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her

loving husband of 56 years, Victor.

Rose is survived by her eight loving children and their spouses and families, Linda Ensor and her husband John, Vickie McCurdy and her husband Dan, Teresa Calderon, Richard Calderon and his wife Mary, Rosemary Calderon and her husband Bob Treder, Art Calderon and his wife Yvonne, Lucy Calderon, Elizabeth LaVelle and her husband Bill; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Remembrances may be made to St. Agnes Hospice, the hospice of your choice,

or the donor's favorite charity.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Firebaugh on Monday June 26, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
