Raul Medina Sanchez was born on January 5, 1925 and passed away peacefully on July 9, 2015 at the age on 90. Raul was born to Maurilio and Mercedes Sanchez one of 10 children. Raul worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad until he retired in 1990. He enjoyed to playing soccer with the Mexican American Soccer League here in Fresno, California and was an avid golfer with the Mexican American Golf Association (MAGA).
He is preceded in death by his wife Maria Luisa and son Raulito.
He is survived by his son Arthur and wife Beatrice, daughters Anna, Carmen, Teresa, Rebecca and husband Roel and sister Mercedes Bencomo, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
"He was loved by all and will be greatly missed."
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 3:00 until 7:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St John's Cathedral. Rosary will start at 10:00 am, Mass at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at St Peter's Cemetery.
