Our grandma was a great homemaker. She raised wonderful kids as well as helped raise amazing grandkids, with the same love, wisdom, and respect to carry on her legacy. Born on November 23, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Taxas to Cesaria and Ramon. She had a total of six sisters and twelve brothers. She moved to California when she was in high school and graduated from Kerman High, class of 1970. She attended Fresno City College shortly after, where she met the love of her life, Steven Nuñez. They would purposely cross each other's paths on campus to make conversation and see one another. It was love at first sight with them. They made it official at a BBQ held at Millerton Lake in April of ‘72. May 5, 1972 he proposed and by June 3rd of the same year they were happily married. That following March they gave birth to their first daughter, Rebecca. Our grandparents had a total of five kids, four girls, Rebecca, Ramona, Margarita, and Lorraine and one boy, Steven Jr. She had a total of fifteen grandchildren, Amanda, Ramon, Jesse Jr, Eric, Isaac, Joey, Mekaliah, Shalise, Josiah, Jus, Makeniah, Steven Ramon, Seviah, Steven, Steve, and Stevon, and two great grandchildren Nakita, Avriell, and Ezekiel Dean who will soon be born. Our grandma loved to crochet, draw, color, do puzzles, watch her novelas and western movies, and garden. Man did she have a green thumb!. She would send personalized cards and letters to her grandkids for holidays or just because. She loved telling us all stories about her life before and after meeting grandpa. She loved all of her family, with every part of her. She was always there with a listening ear, ready to help in any way she could.& We can't forget Sandy, she loved her dog Sandy as much as she loved any of us. Although we will miss her deeply and cannot create new memories, we will always cherish the ones we have made. Knowing she is resting peacefully with our grandpa gives us some comfort during this time. We will love and miss you forever, grandma. Now you rest peacefully dancing in heaven with grandpa. Until we meet again, we will keep your memory alive.
