A long time Fresno native, Mark graduated from Bullard High School in 1976, attended Fresno State where he graduated with a Business degree. Upon graduation he began a career as a commercial real estate broker at Pearson Realty. Then was recruited by Colliers Tingey and became a partner with the firm, helping run a very successful business serving the Central Valley.
Mark met the love of his life, Clairissa “Georgie” Kay in 1995 and he was smitten. They traveled extensively and had a wonderful life together. They were happily married for 26 years.
Mark was a ski instructor at China Peak in his 20’s and continued to be an avid skier. His passion was teaching and skiing with his family and friends. Mark was an excellent golfer and had a regular foursome who golfed together every Sunday at local courses and Pebble Beach.
Huntington Lake is where Mark spent winters skiing and summers with family, friends and his dog, Jake, at the family cabin enjoying sailing, boating, reading, cooking and entertaining.
Mark was a loyal friend, caring son, brother and uncle. His devotion to his family, his kindness, wisdom and fun loving nature touched all those who were privileged to know him.
He leaves behind his loving wife Georgie; brother Kent and wife Robyn with niece Katelin and nephew Logan; brother Gary and wife Carol with nieces Melissa, Megan and Madison,; mother-in-law Ann Kay; sister-in-law Monica Kay Garcia and husband Rod with nephews Joey Alex and Kacey King; brothers in law Joe, Anthony , Matthew and wife Wanida with nieces, Madison and Rachel.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Therese Church in Fresno on Wednesday, March 22 at 11:00 am.
