Louis Pardini, M.D. was born in Daly City, CA in 1924, to his parents Louis G. and Caroline Payne Pardini.
Lou's primary education was in the San Francisco bay area where he attended Our Lady of Angels Grammar School, Saint Ignatius High School, and then went on to join the United States Army during World War II, where he was a Medical Corpsman serving in the European Theater and Japanese occupation from 1942 to 1946. After serving his country, Lou attended San Jose State College from 1946 to 1947, then onto University of San Francisco from 1947 to 1950, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. From 1950 to 1954, Lou attended Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, NE. During his time in earning his medical degree, he married Alice Martin in Santa Cruz, CA, in 1950, and had two sons, Louis and Patrick. After graduating from medical school, the four of them moved to Fresno where Lou underwent a rotating internship at Fresno General Hospital from 1954 to 1955, where he also served as Chief Resident. Following this internship, he began his Internal Medicine practice starting on July 1, 1958, and retired in October 2013; Lou practiced medicine for 55 years. Alice and Lou also had an additional four sons while living in Fresno, CA, Joseph, John, Peter and Robert.
Dr. Pardini was honored and has served on numerous religious and community organizations, including Knighthood of Saint Gregory 1965 Conferral of Pontifical Honors, Affiliation of the Institute of the Christian Brothers of the Christian Schools in December of 1976, President of the medical staff of Saint Agnes Medical Center from 1981 to 1982, President of Fresno County Medical Society Review Board in 1984, Medical Director of Valu Care Health Plan from 1985 to 1988, Board of Trustees for Saint Agnes Medical Center from 1987 to 1992, Quality Assurance Committee Member for Saint Agnes Medical Center from 1987 to 1996, and Chairman of the Utilization Committee at Saint Agnes Medical Center for five years.
Lou is survived by Alice, his wife of 65 years; and their six sons, Lou and his wife Betsyann; Patrick and his wife Monica, and children Nicholas, Colette, Marina, Sofia, and Dominic Pardini; Joseph and his wife Melia, and their sons Joseph, Thomas, Daniel and Steven Pardini; John and his wife Liz, and their children, Alicia Fisher and her husband Blake, Rae Pardini and her future husband Michael Matson, Tara Wagner and her husband Connor, Peter and his wife Cyndi, and their sons Peter, Matthew, and David Pardini; Robert and his wife Kristen, and their children Riley, Ryan, Luke, and Samuel Pardini; deceased grandsons, Louis James and John Willson Pardini. Dr. Pardini was blessed with 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Madden Fisher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Shrine of Saint Therese Catholic Church on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 10:00 a.m.
Lou's kindness, wisdom, and dedication to his family and patients will be cherished and missed by all who knew him.
