Kenneth Ruiz

Kenneth was born on August 7th 1929 in Fowler CA. He was one of 9 children of Immigrant Parents from Spain, Roman Ruiz & Joaquina Sanchez. (One more sibling died on the boat trip to America).

Kenneth married the love of his life, Shirley Lee in 1951.

Kenneth is survived by his three Sons, Kenneth Jr., Roman and Ted. Along with 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren and one Great-great Grandchild. He is also survived by his youngest Brother Frank Ruiz of Fowler.

Kenneth worked for Roma Winery/Schenley Distillery for 32 years. In 1982 Schenley closed and in 1983 he started work with Fowler Unified School District, mostly for Marshall Elementary. He loved that job and enjoyed playing countless pranks on the teachers and students until he retired in 1994. Fowler Unified awarded him Employee of the year in 1993.

Kenneth worked as many as 3 jobs at the same time to provide for his Family and passed his incredible work ethics to his 3 Sons and Grandchildren.

Kenneth was also a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 390 in Fowler for 16 years and also coached Little League.

Kenneth served in the Army Reserves for 8 years.

Kenneth, Dad, Grandpa always enjoyed doing magic tricks and playing pranks on his Family. He will be dearly missed by so many who’s lives he’s touched during his lifetime.
