Jesse was born to Connie and Raymond Otero on February 3, 1964 in Fresno, Cal. He was a graduate of Fresno High School, where he played varsity soccer and football. He was an avid fisherman and loved to play darts. After graduating, he enlisted in the Correctional Officers Academy. He was a dedicated sergeant for the California Department of Corrections for over 25 years.
Jesse was admired by all, for his love of life and his family, his sense of humor, vibrant personality and his loyalty to his friends. Jesse took pride in each and every one of us he left behind.
Jesse will be truly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. We know he is watching over us now, but most of all that his pain and suffering has ceased and he is walking with the Lord.
Jesse was proceeded in death by his father Raymond Otero and Uncle Ernie Gallardo.
He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Crystal; his children, Justin, Dustin, Robert, Jacob, D.J., Hillary and Willie; his grandchildren, Nalani, Josiah and Addison; his mother, Connie; brothers, David, Ralph, Raymond; and sister Jennie; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday, March 30, 2012, at 12:00 noon.
