She worked as the head cook for the Orange Center Elementary School for over twenty years. Geraldine was also involved in 4-H clubs, serving as a leader for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Blunt in 2001; as well as her sister, Ilogene Campbell; and brother, Maurice Tarvin; an infant son Rodger; and her parents, Gerald and Nonie Tarvin.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Jerry Blunt and his wife Marilyn of Chandler, Arizona; her grandchildren, Brian and his wife Heidi, and Brent and his wife Fadolia; as well as two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Nate.
Visitation will be held at Stephens and Bean Chapel on Friday, February 1, 2013, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
