Friday, July 27, 2018, at the age of 66. He was
born in Fresno, CA, on July 16, 1952,to Ramon and Connie Ramirez.
Frank grew up in a farmworker family and worked in the fields for
most of his childhood into his teenageyears. He attended
Bullard High School, where he excelled academically
and played on the varsity baseball team under coaches, Mike
Noakes, and Bob Bennett. His love for the sport would continue into his
adulthood when he would play alongside his brothers, Raymond
and Robert Ramirez. In 1974, Frank graduated from
California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Business Administration. He went on to graduate from Boalt Hall
School of Law at University of California, Berkeley, in 1977, where
he earned his Juris Doctorate degree. Going back to his roots, Frank
wanted to help those in need and became an impassioned attorney
for California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc., to fight for farmworkers'
rights. He was also a founding member of the Central Valley La Raza
Lawyers Association. It was the work Frank accomplished during
these years as a young attorney, which he was most proud of in his
career. In 1984, Frank partnered with attorney David Hernandez, and
together ran the Law Firm of Hernandez & Ramirez, for the next
27 years. When his eldest daughter, Irene, became an attorney, Frank
opened his own private practice, the Law Offices of Ramirez &
Ramirez, in 2011. Frank's hard work ethic, love for
baseball, strong Catholic faith, loyal family bonds, and his ability to tell a
story, are parts of Frank to be forever admired. He was the most loving,
genuine, and loyal individual who will truly be missed.
