She met and married Cruz Jose Sanchez and lived in Colorado until 1945 when Cruz was discharged from the U.S. Navy. In 1945 they moved to Sunnyside, Utah and lived there for three years. In 1948 they moved to Fresno.
Esther was a homemaker and loving mother who loved and worshipped her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cruz Sanchez; her son, Ernest; and daughter, Lydia.
Esther is survived by sons, Cruz Sanchez and his wife Mary Frances, Tom Sanchez and his wife Ruth, John Sanchez and his wife Loraine; daughters, Louise Hernandez, Linda Renieri and Emily Contino and her husband Pete; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
