Hello, I was a coworker of Eric's for a few months back in 2019. We shared a lot of laughs and good times while working at some schools. I will always remember his talks and quotes like "yeppers peppers", "cool beans" and "stay frosty". I am sorry to barely hear of his passing so my thoughts and prayers for his family. Rest in peace Mr. Mogie (as we called him) a good man with a big heart that I will always remember. 

From the memorial video those early pictures of Uncle Eric is how I remember him growing up. I remember the last real conversation I had with him was when I was about 16yrs old and he tried to convince my parents to let me stay in California with him so I could finish up HS in Fresno and attend FSU. I think he knew I would of had more of an opportunity in some ways instead of continuing back to Louisiana with my family. My condolences to my aunts, uncles and cousins I haven’t seen in years. Eric you have made a huge difference in my life. You have been a great brother in-law we had some laughs and some tears as a family.
You and my sister have been amazingly great parents to Rachelle and Derrik and no matter what road block you both came upon you both jumped over it and made it last. You were such a good grandpa to those treasured grandbabies. You were a fabulous uncle to my kids and grandkids. You will never be forgotten always in my heart.
I am grateful I got to spend the week with you in October last year and I really wish things had been different so you could have met the man I have found to be in my life now. 
I love you and you will be terribly missed.
Keep watch over my sister, Rachelle Derrik and their families,  and my mother too please.

Eric thank you for always being my brother, mentor, and friend. You were always in my corner during the hard times. You will be definitely missed but not forgotten. Take care of Mom Dad and Paulie D. Love you and rest assured I'll maintain my sobriety. Love you big brother.

Oh Uncle Eric how you are going to be missed by all of us. You were the joy, the fun, the entertainment a lot of my childhood. I will treasure all the memories from my childhood. I am so blessed you got to see my son and his personality last year. Please watch over your loved ones. We love you. Aunt Lisa, Derrik, Rachelle my thoughts are with you all in this unreal difficult time.  I love you all with all of my heart. I want to be there for you so much right now. Much love from Washington.
