Dorothy M. Hyde was born in Fresno October 2, 1926 and passed away April 1, 2012. Dorothy is preceded in death by her father E. Arthur Hyde and her mother Catherine Hyde. Dorothy graduated from Fresno High School. She played the Accordion and entertained World War II soldiers while on R&R at the Fresno Fair grounds, as well as wounded troops being cared for at the Wawona Hotel in Yosemite.
Dorothy was a medical assistant and was State President of the California Medical Assistants Association for several years. Dorothy liked to travel, particularly to England.
Dorothy will be missed by many for her subtle sense of humor, and her love of cats and all animals.
She is survived by her gentle loving Silver Tip Persian Prince Ivan.
A viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 12, 2012 at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 475 N. Broadway, Fresno, followed by a grave side service on Friday, April 13, 2012, at Mountain View Cemetery.
