Daniel Stuart Jackson of Fresno passed away peacefully on April 9, 2013, at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Ca. Dan was born on September 10, 1944, to Norman and Alice Jackson. He attended school in Fresno and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1962.
Dan had an amazing career in the recreational vehicle and equipment industry. In 1964, while working for McCoon's Mobile Homes and Camper Sales in Fresno, he was selected by the industry as "Youngest Sales Manager for Campers". Dan was also employed with Phillips' Trailer Supply in Fresno before moving to Concord, California to start his own business. Dan was the owner-operator of Mobile Living RV Center in Concord for twenty-seven years. He returned to Fresno in 1998 where he owned and operated Brunna Enterprises, a construction company. For one year, before his retirement in 2006, he also owned and operated Danl Productions in Fresno. Dan was a confident, well-respected, and consummate business professional. Success, accomplishment, and generosity were his business hallmarks. More importantly, Dan was a kind and caring individual who touched numerous lives. He was not only a friend, but also a quiet and loving mentor to his family, friends, and employees alike.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother, Bruce Jackson.
Dan is survived by his sister, Carol Upshaw of Lafayette, Ca.; his brother, Jere Jackson of Newberg, Or. and his partner of 37 years Ron Wilson. Dan will be greatly and sincerely missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Stephens & Bean Chapel on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. followed by a brief private graveside service.
