Our beloved mother, Christine (Costa) Tod, passed away on September 24th at the age of 79. She is survived by her husband and children.
Christine was born on February 23, 1945 to parents Jerome and Marie Costa. She grew up in Walnut Creek, California with her parents and brother Garry. She attended Pleasant Hill High School and continued her education at College of the Holy Names in Oakland as a music major. Christine married Grant Tod in 1966. They had two children and four grandchildren. Christine worked for Willamette Industries in Sanger for 18 years as an executive secretary. After retiring, she pursued her passions as a volunteer counselor for the Pregnancy Care Center and taught piano from her home in Clovis for over 10 years.
She leaves behind her husband, Grant Tod, her daughter Julie Brunings, her son Jim Tod, and grandchildren, Nick Tod, Kourtney Brunings, Craig Tod, and Justin Brunings.
The funeral will be held at Grace Place Church, Clovis on Friday, October 4th at 11am. All friends and family are welcome. The family asks that donations be made instead of flowers or other gifts to Pregnancy Care Center and/or Grace Place Church.
