Born August 24, 1925, Carol lived 93 years before being called to her Heavenly home on March 8, 2019. Carol resided in Fresno for 58 years where she was employed as a bookkeeper in the Circulation Department, The Fresno Bee; retiring after 30 years of employment. She enjoyed travelling; visiting all 50 U. S. states and over 40 countries around the world: the highlight of her travels being her visit to England in 1984; accompanied by her three sisters.
Carol was an active member of the American Business Women’s Association, National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts, and frequently met with Fresno Bee employees and alum at various events. Her most favorite pastime; however, was the time she spent creating miniature houses and theme rooms that she completely finished and furnished. She met weekly with a group of likeminded miniature enthusiasts at Hobby Town in Fresno. Carol was very talented and developed many lifelong friendships among the miniature community; attending many miniature shows and conventions across the nation.
Carol is survived by her two sons and their wives; Mike and Pam Menze and Matt and Terri Menze; four grandchildren; Mandi Menze, Brian Menze, Marissa Bedsted, and Robert Menze; and two great grandchildren; Britain Bedsted and Kairi Bedsted. She is preceded in death by her husband Dale Menze and grandson Joshua Menze.
Interment services will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at 2:00 pm, and followed by a reception of family and friends at Cornelia Avenue Southern Baptist Church, 5015 W. Clinton Avenue. Flowers can be sent to Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L Street, Fresno, CA, 93721.
