It is with great sadness that we share that our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend,Carmen Rendon Ramirez left this world on Monday, March 22,2021 to finally reunite with her father Domingo, mother Maria Elvira and brother Jose Rendon.
Carmen Rendon Ramirez was born to Elvira and Domingo Rendon on February 25, 1961. She was raised in Easton, CA and graduated from Washington Union High School in 1980.
After graduation Carmen began and enjoyed a 25 year career with the Internal Revenue Service.
Within that time she married Ramon Ramirez and together they raised and loved two children Brandon Michael Sanchez and Michelle Renea Ramirez. She is also survived by her two son in laws, Will Sanchez and Vince Garcia and four grand children: Natalie Sanchez and Mikayla, Madison and Jeremiah Garcia.
She was the ninth child of ten and had a close, loving and respectful relationship with all of her siblings and many nieces and nephews all of whom love her tremendously. She was a great strong and loving force within her family!
Carmen was a spiritual person and tried to live her life so that it was pleasing to God. She was often inspired by scripture 1 John 3:18 “Let us not love with words and speech but with actions and in truth.” She showed her love for God by helping fellow man in need when she could. On numerous occasions she, her children and grandchildren would share compassion and love with the homeless community by gifting: blankets, coats, clothing and food, and invited her circle of family and friends to participate as well.
To know Carmen was to be inspired by her light-hearted fun personality. She frequently made opportunities for her family and friends to enjoy gatherings at her home which included music that she greatly delighted in. She loved introducing and sharing oldies and latin songs to her children and many nieces and nephews. Overtime they too grew to appreciate her music choices. She left them all with fond memories of great soulful English and Spanish songs that they will always associate with their “Tia Carmen”.
Carmen loved to travel to the beach and go camping. Regardless of her physical incapacities, she did so as much as possible. She frequently invited her family and friends to join in and they often accepted because they enjoyed being around her.
She had a warm, joyful soul and a special ability to love people in a deep and positive way therefore making many friends. Her loss is greatly felt and she will be missed by all and eternally loved!
A visitation for Carmen will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lisle Funeral Home with rosary beginning at 4:30PM. A ceremonial service will be held at the same location (Lisle Funeral Home) at 10:30AM. A committal service will follow.
