Carlos was born in Madera, California on June 30, 1953 to Puerto Rican immigrant parents Ricardo M Calderon and Eusebia V Navario (Nee) on June 30, 1953. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 5, 2021 following a brave and lingering battle with AML Leukemia.
Carlos was a former long-time Pastor of Lilly of the Valley Church, Fresno and served on the Board of Christian Life Assembly, Fresno. He was employed in the medical field, spending many years at Valley Children's Hospital during which time he held various positions and became a Registered Nurse. He subsequently worked as a Nurse at Eye Q Vision, Fresno and as a Nurse Case Manager at Intercare Holdings, Inc. in Fresno.
His wife, Yolanda Aranjo (Nee), preceded him in death in 2014. Also preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Richard Calderon; with his brother Pete of Fresno passing away days after Carlos. He is survived by his sister, Irma Calderon- DeLaPena (Benny) of Clovis; his wife, Carol Riley Calderon; three sons all of Fresno, Philip (Jennifer) Calderon, Carlos (Eric) Calderon-Phangrath, and Gregory (Mary) Calderon; eight grandchildren, Lorissa, Ericka, Amanda, Quincy, Gregory, Jr., Paul, Xavier, Andre, a great grandson, Zaydyn, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by three stepsons, Brian Riley of Davis, CA, Bradford (Henrietta "Bing") Riley of Fresno, and Brett Riley of Clovis.
Carlos was loved by all who knew him and was appreciated for his friendship, care, prayers, counsel and sense of humor.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of cCare and St. Agnes Medical Center in Fresno for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, 202 N Teilman, Fresno, on Sunday, May 2nd from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. Following a private burial, there will be a Celebration of Life at Christian Fellowship Center Church of God, 725 N. Millbrook, Fresno on Monday, May 3rd at 11:00 A.M. Masks are required, due to Covid protocol. The Celebration of Life will also be streamed online at www.facebook.com/CFCFresno.
