Our beloved Jose Evangelista Dizon passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 3, 2016. He was born on August 27, 1930 in Villasis, Pangasinan, Phillippines, the eldest son of nine brothers and sisters to Juan Hernandez Dizon and Florencia Evangelista Dizon. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Angelita Posadas Dizon and their three children and six grandchildren. Son Willie Dizon, his wife Sheri and their children Kevin, Kyle and Kayla; Daughter Joann Cabanero, her husband Ernel and their children Janelle, Jasmine and Janessa; Daughter Debbie Dizon.
A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, Jose was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ where he was one of the first pioneering members and served as the first Head Deacon of the San Jose, CA locale. He served as a first class Navy Officer for 20 years and was stationed all over the world from California, Washington, Hawaii, Philippines and Japan. He won an award for Master Expert Pistol Shooter in 1972. He then worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space Company for 18 years as a quality assurance manager with highest level security clearance on military projects.
Jose lived a religious, passionate, happy, family oriented and simple life. He taught himself how to play the piano as a child and sounded exactly like Liberace. He was an avid golfer where his passion for the game allowed him to share his skills by teaching anyone who wanted to learn. Deep sea fishing and hunting were other sports he enjoyed. Bowling was yet another sport he enjoyed where he organized the church leagues. Jose also had a green thumb where you can witness his ever blooming orchid farm in his backyard.
Arrangements under the direction of Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary, Fremont, CA.
