Kenneth Carr Jr.

Kenneth Carr, Jr., 38, of Fredericksburg passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Kenny served in the Marine Corps for 8.5 years and continued his career in the Army. During his time in the military he received several awards, he was NCO of the quarter, color guard, Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructor, and was a Warrant Officer Candidate. Kenny received a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Business/Human Resources. Kenny volunteered as a basketball coach at the Boys and Girls Club, the Field House, the military youth center, and the YMCA. Kenny enjoyed playing basketball, football, video games, riding motorcycles, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Most of all, he was a wonderful father, loving husband, and a Man of God!!! He is survived by his loving wife, Devin; son, Landon; daughter Madison; father, Kenneth Carr Sr.; mother, Vivian Hosey Sanson; brother, Brandon Hosey; and three sisters, Erica Hosey, Jessica Carr Galloway, and Cherokee Carr. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg chapel from 1:00-3:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life starting at 2:00 pm. Interment will be Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
