John Roy Adams

John R. Adams, 69, passed away on October 28, 2024 at his home in Stafford County, VA. John, born in Big Springs, TX, grew up in Basset, VA. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol Wickham Adams, and his sister, Rebecca Adams (Tim Callison) of Marietta, Ohio. He is predeceased by his parents, Roy Lynwood Adams and Lela Othelda Caldwell, and brother, Michael Lynwood Adams. John worked for the VA Dept of Juvenile Justice as Director of Food Operations. In addition to spending time with his puppies, John enjoyed reading, amusement parks, and camping. John will be laid to rest at the Adams family cemetery in Patrick Springs, Virginia. The family invites family and friends to join them in a celebration of John’s life at their home at 20 Lakebreeze Way, Stafford, VA on Saturday, November 2, 11a-2p.
