Glenn Elton Moore, 69, passed away from complications related to a red blood cell cancer on March 28, 2024, in Salisbury, MD. He was born on December 1, 1954. Glenn was a beloved father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Broad, son-in-law Adam Broad, grandson Ethan Broad, and brother Allen Moore. He was preceded in death by his father John Moore, his mother Lucy Mae "Lucille" Moore, his brother David Moore, and sister Roxanna Gould.
Glenn was a graduate of Gar-Field High School and continued his education at Northern Virginia Community College. He spent his early career with Safeway in various positions including night stocker and produce manager. After obtaining his associates degree in Electronics in 1987, Glenn pursued a career as a relay technician with Dominion Energy and then Delmarva Power until his retirement. He took great pride in his work and was dedicated to his profession.
Glenn was known for his love of reading, music, and nature. He enjoyed playing his electric and acoustic guitars through most of his life. He spent many hours on his Goldwing motorcycle and in his Mustang convertible riding the back roads admiring nature. He was also an avid flower gardener, finding joy in planting beautiful flowers in his yard during his retirement years.
Family visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service in Fredericksburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, the Nature Conservancy, or the Ocean Conservancy in Glenn's honor. The funeral home is assisting with the arrangements.
Glenn will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
