William "Tommy" Roberts

William "Tommy" Roberts, age 69, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at his residence. Tommy was born in Miamisburg, OH on April 16, 1955 to the late James Edward and Hazel Louise (Campbell) Roberts.

Tommy was employed with Franklin Township as a superintendent of the road department for 43 years and retired in 2018. Franklin Township dedicated the new Road Department Building in honor of Tommy.

Tommy had a great love for the outdoors and spending time with his family. He spent a lot of time going fishing, to car shows, the flea market, and vacationing at Myrtle Beach.

Preceded in death by his father James Roberts and his Mother Hazel Roberts, his brother, Dicky Roberts, his sisters-in-law Pam Roberts, Ruth Roberts,Cheryl Roberts, Sharon Marsden; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Delphia Patterson. Tommy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sherry Roberts, his daughter, Sara Izor (Brandon Izor) and his grandchildren, Josie and Adley Curtis, and their father Russell Curtis. Tommy also helped raise Sherry Robinson, Kim Griffin, and Luke Roberts, with bonus grandchildren Ashley, Hailey, Erin, Makena, Pryce, Riley, Ella and Macy; his great grandchildren, Khyair, Izreyal, and Major. Tommy is also survived by his many siblings, Jim (Robin) Roberts, Timmy (Tammy) Roberts, Gary (Teriesa) Roberts, David Roberts, Alice (Randy) Miller, Shawn (Rhonda) Patterson; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jamie Cagg officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
