Wanda Syrene Cox was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 18th, 1938. She went home to be with her Lord in the early morning of March 25th, 2020. She was surrounded by her loving family. Waiting to greet her in heaven was her cherished grandfather, Samuel Francis King, her parents Roger and Chris Stewart, two brothers Jim and Roger Stewart, a sister Joan Lemmons and Paul Cox, with whom she shared a long, loving marriage. Wanda was a member of Middletown High School class of 1956. She attended business college before starting a career with the Green and Ladd stock brokerage firm whose offices were located in the Manchester Inn. She left the firm to become a devoted stay-at-home mother to her three daughters, Chrissie (Jeff) Blevins, Debbie (Steve) Zornes, and Cheryl (Sean) Smiddy, all of whom survive her. After raising her girls, she worked for many years at Kroger. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren Justin (Sarah) Blevins, Jenna (Matt) Hetzler, Macie and Madison Blevins, Scott and Stephanie Zornes, Tyler and Carrie Smiddy, four great-grandchildren Adalyn Blevins, Shelby and Brady Lucas, and Cooper Hetzler. She is also survived by her baby sister Tonya (Tom) Weaver whom she helped raise and claimed as her very own. Though limited service due to shelter in place laws, if a funeral were able to be held, she was loved by so many people that one building would not have been able to contain them.
