Shirley Wallace

Shirley D (Parker) Wallace, 85 originally from Franklin Ohio died at Walnut Creek Nursing Center on Feb. 2, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband (Jerry K Wallace) her parents (Esther F Parker),( John J Parker ), brother (David B Parker) and grandniece (Caitlin Parker).

Shirley graduated from Franklin HS in 1956 and went on to attend Miami Valley Nursing School. Shirley became a surgical nurse practicing at Miami Valley Hospital and Good Samaritan for many years as well as numinous hospitals around the country. In the early 80's Shirley and Jerry moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she worked for City of Faith Hospital.

She traveled for many years all over the country from the decks of a three masted wind jammer sailing ship to missionary work in Africa and the old Soviet Union. Shirley loved the stage and preformed in many musicals and stage plays, she loved Cats, Cabaret, and Fiddler on the Roof.

Shirley was a true believer in God from her early years till the time of her passing in Dayton Ohio. She is survived by her sister-in-law (Dorothy Parker), niece (Rhonda Slone and husband Ray Slone Jr and son Alex Slone and fiancé Breanna Back and their son Connor Slone) nephew (David Parker and wife Tami Parker and daughter Hannah) cousin (Joan Doliboa husband Tony Doliboa daughter Susan Wolfenbarger and husband Tom Wolfenbarger children Cheyenne, Brady, Hannah Wiseman and husband Hunter Wiseman and daughter Parker Wiseman).

Funeral Services are 12:30 Saturday February 11, 2023 at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E 2nd St Franklin, OH with Pastor Cornelious Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
