Ray Grigsby, age 84, of Middletown, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011, at the Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky, September 11, 1926, son of Floyd and Jenny Ritchie Grigsby. Mr. Grigsby was retired from the Interstate Folding Box Company, where he worked as a Machinist. He was a Navy veteran. Survivors include his children, Sharon Keith Phelps of West Middletown, Sue Knox Lovely of Middletown, and James Carolyn Lawson of Camden; 11 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren, and 2 great-greatgrandchildren; a sister, Katie Stout; and 2 brothers, Claude Grigsby and Vess Grigsby. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Thelma Florine Grigsby in 2007; and by 2 brothers, Ellis Grigsby and Felix Grigsby. Friends may call from 1 PM to 3 PM Friday, May 20, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Funeral services will then be held at 3:00 PM on Friday.
