John Henry Powell

John Powell, aged 93, peacefully journeyed to his heavenly home on June 28, 2024, at Walnut Creek Nursing Home following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, LaRue, his son, Don Powell, daughter, Karen Cohn (Powell) and daughter in law, Tabitha.

John was a devoted Christian who lived his life faithfully to God. He found great comfort and strength in his faith throughout his life. He is survived by his loving daughter, Sharen Deaton, and her husband, Steve Deaton. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Aaron (Tabitha) Powell, Scott (Heather) Powell, Matthew (Michelle) Powell, Stephanie (Chris) Mentrup, Tod Cohn, and Chad Cohn. Additionally, John had 7 brothers and is remembered by his 10 great-grandchildren.

John lived a full life and leaves behind cherished memories with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, unwavering faith, and dedication to his loved ones.

Funeral Services are 1pm Wednesday July 3, 2024 at Anderson Funeral Home 40 N Main St Springboro, OH. with Pastor Aaron powell officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
