James H. Oaks

James H. Oaks, age 88, of Springboro, OH, died Saturday April 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on April 23, 1929 to James and Josie (Turner) Oaks. James served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed with Black Clawson for 35 years and retired in 1991. He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Oaks, mother, Josie Oaks, sister, Ida Mae Mulins, brother, John Oaks, sister, Viola Schwarn, brother, Ernest Oaks, sister, Virginia Rae Neal. James is survived by wife of 66 years, Sarah (Banks) Oaks; nieces, Carolyn Hushour, Loreda Dunn, and Brenda Caudill; nephew, James Schwarn; great nephews Wesley Dunn, Tim Smith and Jeffrey Dunlap; great nieces, Cindy Dunn, Chris Smith and Erin Moore; great great nephews, Aaron and Ethan Dunn; and his brother-in-law Green (Lina) Banks Jr. A Graveside Service is 1:00 pm Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Crown Hill Memorial Park. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park with military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home 40 N.
