

David was diagnosed with ALS in 2022. Before his diagnosis, David was a genuine example of a Christian man. He gave his life to Christ in 2016 and took every opportunity to tell others about the love of Jesus. David was a member of Franklin Church of Christ and also loved his Moores Creek Church of Christ family in Kentucky.
David was a man of many passions. He loved working with his hands to build and fix different things. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, playing in the river and just taking walks with his brother Jerry.
David was about family. He made sure all of his siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles nieces and nephews knew that he cared. He was always willing to help someone.
David's surviving family members include his mother, Bernice (Banks) Peters, sister Candace Belt, sister Pamela Peters, brother Jerry (Liana) Peters, and his twin sister Dana (Steven) Gabbard. As well as his niece Amanda Peters, nephew Eddie Ray Belt, niece Amber (Tommy) Witt, Jacob (Holly) Belt, Jarrett (Kirsten) Belt, niece Lacey Peters, nephew Jayden Peters, nephew Neil Gabbard along with great nephew Tanner Jones, great niece Isabelle Peters and great nephew Riley Finley.
He is preceded in death by his father Jerry A. Peters and his brother in law Ed Belt along with many other special loved ones.
The family will be having a private memorial ceremony in Kentucky where he will be laid to rest. Date and Time unknown.
